Essential Duties and Responsibilities | The Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership is designed for educational leaders in public schools, community colleges, universities, and community settings. Housed in the Leadership and Educational Studies Department of the Reich College of Education, the program's objective is to equip leaders with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to act as agents of positive change in their organizations and communities. We encourage critical thinking, analytic rigor, and creative collaboration to address the complex and interlocking challenges of our time. The Doctoral Student Advisor will serve as an integral member of the Doctoral Program and have responsibility for supporting doctoral students in their progress through the EdD program coursework. The Advisor will play a key role in orienting students to the doctoral program and providing academic advising as students move through the coursework phase of the program. The Advisor will monitor student progress through the program and take leadership in managing course registration processes and students' academic information. The Advisor will collaborate with faculty across the concentration areas of the EdD program to support student success and retention. The Advisor will also enrich the base of support resources available to students and assist in building professional and collegial connections across doctoral cohorts. The Advisor will report to the Director of the Doctoral Program. Specific duties and responsibilities will include:
