Sample M.C. Dean Opportunities
Engineering
* Cybersecurity Engineer: Support IS Security Engineering efforts to ensure a strong organizational
cybersecurity posture by implementing DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on IT
and OT systems.

* Database Administrator: Maintain the integrity, security, availability, and optimization of databases.
* Electrical / Power Engineer: Design, implement, and support power systems including electrical and
alternative power systems, microgrid applications, HVAC, automation and protection controls, critical
power, and software.

* Mechanical Engineer: Design, implement, and support mission-critical facility operations and energy
optimization using BIM; energy management automation and controls, and reporting software.

* Network Engineer: Design, install, and support network systems such as switches, routers, wireless
access infrastructure, VOIP, etc.

* Security Engineer: Design, install, and support advanced physical security systems including CCTV;
access control & intrusion detection; command and control centers.

* Software Engineer: Design, install, and support modular design and software systems using BIM and
other advanced modeling and simulation; engineering and simulation test lab endeavors.

* Systems Engineer: Design, install, and support industrial automation and controls; transit systems;
smart city and other large-scale infrastructure enterprise IoT solutions; integrated power automation and
controls; and energy efficiency and optimization applications software.

* Communication Engineer: Design detailed telecommunication distribution systems and infrastructure
using AutoCAD or REVIT. Coordinate needs with other systems e.g.: CCTV, Access Control, A/V, Fire
Alarm, WLAN, Building Automation, etc.

Technicians
* Communication Technician: Telecommunication systems installation, maintenance/preventive
maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting. Working with video, data, copper and fiber cables, racks,
and cable trays.

* Critical Facilities Technician: Ensure electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment operate
at peak efficiency.

* Cyber Security Specialist: Support Cyber Security Engineers and Risk Management Framework
(RMF) Analysts Design and Implement DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on
IT and OT systems.
* Electrician: Install basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with applicable plans,
specifications, codes, and industry standards. Participation in M.C. Dean's Apprenticeship program
may be required.

* Fire Alarm Technician: Client site installation, programing, maintenance, and complex
troubleshooting of FA Systems under little to no supervision.

* RF Technician: Wireless systems and Distributed Antenna Systems installation, maintenance /
preventive maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting. Working with radio frequency and fiber optic
cables.

* Ship/Submarine Engineering Technician: Support C4ISR system installation on ships and
submarines.

* System Technician: Install, program, test, troubleshoot, test, and maintain end/end electronic
security systems and hardware for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.

Support Roles
* Fire Alarm Field Manager: Overall administration, organization, implementation, and management
of FA Service and project delivery.

* Program / Project Support: Responsible for assisting in, preparing, and coordinating project
requirements, planning, and deliverables.

* Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance using various tools and applications.
