Job Description
Shop Mechanic - 
Responsible for repairing and maintaining a variety of industrial equipment used in the asphalt pavement maintenance and highway equipment industry. 

This is a full-time hourly position with full benefits; Including Health, Dental, Vision, Life, FSA and HRA plans, short-term disability insurance, PTO, paid holidays, bonus potential based on company performance, and a generous 401k program - sign on bonus potential as well!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for diagnosing and making minor and major repairs to industrial equipment items (to include items such as small engines, diesel engines, pumps, electrical, paint-stripers, etc.)
  • Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on various industrial equipment and manufacturing related items.
  • May be directed to assist in other areas of the plant as needed on occasion as work priorities dictate.
  • Work closely with team members to ensure efficient delivery of job quality, job safety, and standard operating procedures.
  • Uphold company excellence when dealing with customers, employees, and vendors.
  • Standard hours are 7AM - 3:30PM M-F; additional time may be required, including an occasional Saturday, as needed.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in repairing and overhauling industrial equipment.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge and deductive reasoning to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment.
  • Ability to read blue prints, operate the tools and equipment required to maintain and perform the required daily tasks.
  • Lift up to 20 pounds consistently and up to 100 pounds with assistance occasionally.
  • Perform physical activities that may require standing, crouching, stooping, kneeling, reaching, balancing and pushing.
  • Must be a self-starter
  • Able to work within a team environment and take clear direction.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, handle multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Basic computer knowledge to maintain accurate equipment maintenance records.
  • Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and understanding.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Valid WI Drivers’ License required.
