The Extrusion Operator performs machine set-up for orders, safely operates machine to production target, waste, and quality standards, and trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard. This position will direct directly to the Value Stream Leader.

About this opportunity
The Extrusion Operator performs machine set-up for orders, safely operates machine to production target, waste, and quality standards, and trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard. This position will direct directly to the Value Stream Leader.
What you will do
- Sets-up machine to specifications outlined on the order.
- Sets-up machine to standard set-up time & procedure
- Operates machine to standard production target and waste target.
- Trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard.
- Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System.
- Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member
- Ensures work area is kept clean according to facility/corporate standards.
- Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met.
- Support and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment by following all workplace regulations, policies, and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents, and workplace hazards.
What you have to offer
- Highschool diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience
- Forklift License preferred.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to perform basic mathematic operations.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Ability to work 12-hour work schedule.
