Responsibilities

Manchester Tank and Equipment is hiring for full time Day Shift Plant Floater. Responsibilities listed as followed:

    Manage the operating of all types of machines and work to ensure that they are well maintained.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, tape measures, schedules, or product specifications.
  • Sets up and operates fabricating machines according to the specifications.
  • Welds fabricated, cast and stamped components to assemble tanks and pressure vessels.
  • Place and remove fittings from the cylinders by following appropriate protocol.
  • Inspects cylinders for visual defects.
  • Tests cylinders for structural defects.
  • Work to adjust and operate speed and control the load of the machines.
  • Monitor the finished products obtained to ensure the quality conforms to specifications.
  • Rejects defective parts, and marks defects accordingly.
  • Manual handling with placing cylinders in workstation.
