Overview

To assist and perform a variety of research, data and other research related duties in order to support the conduct of clinical research under the supervision of a CRC II, Sr. CRC, and or Clinical Research Manager. Participates in the day to day operations related to the collection, compilation, and documentation of research data.This CRC I will primarily support the clinical research studies of the Emergency Medicine investigator(s).

Responsibilities

-Supports protocol screening and study participant eligibility determination, working with study PI and more senior study team members

- Provides thorough documentation at each study participant visit

- Maintains current knowledge of FDA regulations, GCP, ICH Guidelines, state and local laws as well as other relevant industry knowledge
- Assists in ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met throughout the course of a study

- Assists in providing protocol driven care, protocol procedures, and patient education within confines of study protocol and CMH/CRMI policy. Examples of protocol driven care may include vital signs, electrocardiograms, specimen collection, and administration of research instruments.
- Assists with scheduling of human subject's research visits, coordination of procedures between departments, preparation of subject visit documentation, and coordinating site visits with sponsor representatives
- Assists in the preparation of submissions for approval by the Institutional Review Board (IRB), including initial study application, reportable events, continuing reviews, study close out, etc.
- Assists in the preparation and maintenance of regulatory documents required to support the clinical trial, such as new lab certifications, updated CVs, and updated 1572s and retain copy for study file
- Assists in preparing for monitoring/audit visits during the course of a study

- Assists in assuring site compliance with research protocols by reviewing all regulatory requirements to confirm implementation of appropriate methods, practices, and procedures for all research activities

- Collaborates with internal and external parties to ensure compliance and study participant safety

- Fulfills and maintains all institutional and sponsor required education requirements as necessary for participation in the clinical research study

- Supporting coordinator to Research Nurse Coordinator (RNC) II & Sr. RNC or CRC II & Sr. CRC for higher complexity trials.

Qualifications
    Bachelor's Degree Health related discipline or research related field and 1-2 years experience
  • Associate's Degree Health related discipline or research related field and 3-5 years experience
  • HS diploma or equivalent and 7 or more years experience

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $26.62/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
