Overview

TRC is seeking an organized, creative, and flexible Senior Proposal Manager for our growing Advanced Energy consulting practice. This individual will work closely with our business development and operations teams to develop compelling written and visual content to promote our advanced energy services that meet opportunity and client-specific needs.


Responsibilities

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Clear communication (verbal and written) across all levels and teams within the organization to develop proposal strategy, mitigate risks, and build and maintain strong internal relationships.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently.
  • Project manage the proposal development process in an organized manner, including setting the proposal development schedule, scheduling team meetings, following up on action items, coordinating draft and pricing reviews, and ensuring the team meets strict client deadlines.
  • Develop and submit (electronic or hardcopy) compliant responses in accordance with the RFP.
  • Coordinate and contribute to proposal/bid strategy development with cross-cutting teams.
  • Lead proposal writing and editing for highly strategic or large, multi-volume proposals, including technical and non-technical sections, forms, and appendices.
  • Create compelling, customized, and high-quality responses to client requests and RFPs for opportunities across the U.S.
  • Support follow-up questions and short-list interviews through PowerPoint presentation development and interview team coaching.
  • Create visually appealing materials, graphics, tables, and charts to incorporate into proposals, presentations, and other client-facing documentation.
  • Provide operational support through process and tool refinement.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of TRC's Advanced Energy service offerings to effectively support strategy development and proposal responses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, business, or related area
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Understanding and appropriate use of distinct writing tones and styles, depending on the audience and deliverable
  • Customer-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable contributor
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time and plan independently
  • Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Interest and experience in energy, conservation, or sustainability a plus

Compensation: Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $64,480.00 - USD $112,020.00 /Yr.
