We are currently looking for anOperational Analyst to join the Quality Risk Control Team, having an understanding of trend and root cause analysis, strong metrics and reporting skill set, a quality leader for project management, and understanding of the bank's risk framework, credit policy, and practices. This candidate will support our internal foundational teams with dashboards, automation enhancements, and analytics.

The Enterprise Technology and Operations Risk Management Team is responsible for implementing risk management processes that comply with the company's risk framework, regulatory requirements, and business needs. We partner with process owners to identify and measure risk, and create solutions that protect our customers, the bank and the communities in which we operate.We are committed to the continual excellence of our teammates and our company. TheOperational Analystwill have the opportunity to:

* Work with various business users to review and analyze operational and business data, programs, processes, procedures, systems and make recommendations for improvements and changes to drive business performance.

* Perform business and operational analysis to impact business results and support management decision making.

* Perform and participate in the analysis, design and implementation of operational business processes and procedures.

* Present and shares data with other team members and departments. Investigates and understands diverse areas of the business and operation, supporting initiatives and communicates findings.

* Create and monitor reports to identify trends, issues and opportunities.

* Issue and root cause analysis.

* Use business data to formulate proposals for new procedures and/ or processes.

* Act as a liaison with subsidiary management and staff to resolve issues as needed.

* Perform project management functions as a project manager or team member.

* Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

* Knowledge of data analysis, business process and procedure improvement, systems and project techniques.

* Knowledge of department specific processes and procedures.

* Requires solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

* Ability to elicit, gather and analysis user needs.

* Requires solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and staff employees.

* Good presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.

* Ability to function in a consultative role and manage a team or project.

* Requires a Bachelor's in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field and some experience in business and data analysis, processes, procedures, multiple technologies, etc. or other directly related experience.

* Must be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.

* Working knowledge of:

o Query tools such as Business Objects, Microsoft Access or other tools to extract information from databases.

o Report writing software.

o BaNCS, Credit LEAD, RCIF and other internal systems.

A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.

Location: This position is located at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT. We have a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home if you are within the Salt Lake area.
