Who we're looking for

Toyota's PE Paint Region 2 Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Paint Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage area project schedules for new equipment installation, new model introduction, shop capacity studies, competitiveness improvements and overall facilitation with related plant production groups.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the person in this role will support the Region 2 - Paint PE department's objective to effectively manage capital projects, new model introductions and provide necessary support to ensure competitive daily operations.

What you'll be doing

  • Support area project planning, implementation, and follow up
  • Support new model introductions, including equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.
  • Lead competitiveness improvement projects for local production shop
  • Negotiate scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the project
  • Identify necessary investment and equipment modifications for capacity increases, model mixes, etc.

What you bring

  • Proficient knowledge in MS Office applications (Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations) Intermediate
  • 1+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing environment
  • 1+ years of experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors
  • 1+ years of Project Management experience

What you may bring

  • 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD and CATIA- 10%- Text box
  • 2+ years of automotive paint production engineering or maintenance experience- 40%
  • 2+ years of experience writing equipment specifications- 30%
  • 2+ years of experience with Ringi development and requisition preparation-20%
