The Product Owner will be part of the Business Enablement + Solutions team, a central IT team within the SF Fed that builds technical solutions for the 12th District and across the System. As the Product Owner, you will deliver technology outcomes to meet the needs and expectations of our business partners. In your role, you will foster dialogue and communication between multiple partners and technical experts, encourage collaboration amongst Agile team members and lead Agile team planning. You will be responsible for writing user stories, maintaining a prioritized backlog, and guiding sprint and release planning.

What will you do?

  • Implementing product vision: Work with business and IT partners to identify gaps and opportunities for new capabilities, translate inspiring product visions into product roadmaps in alignment with business and IT strategies.

  • Detail-oriented approach: Decompose and prioritize features into groomed and refined user stories and define detailed acceptance criteria.

  • Agile Practice: Partner with Scrum master and technical teams to participate in agile ceremonies (sprint demos, retrospectives, sprint planning), manage the backlog, and prioritize work within sprints.

  • Continuous Improvement: Incorporate release reviews, user testing, user feedback, operational and performance metrics, and analysis to proactively identify enhancements and help mature the team's agile processes.

  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent updates with relevant stakeholders.

  • Coordination: Organize release activities and monitor product performance, adoption, and operational health; participate in testing as needed.

  • Be a Team Champion: Lead by example and inspire your team to be adaptable and resilient in the face of obstacles. Celebrate the team's successes and support a culture of continuous process improvement.

What will you bring to the table?

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience.

  • 5+ years relevant experience within an agile team environment

  • Proven background in leading customer engagement

  • Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodologies and the software development process

  • Working experience with Jira or Azure DevOps

  • Must be U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder with intent to become U.S. Citizen

Desired Skills:

  • SAFe Product Owner Product Manager (POPM) certification or similar

  • Experience with WordPress, SharePoint Online, and other web content management technology, content strategy, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices

Base Salary Range: 113,600.00 - 147,600.00 - 181,600.00 USD Annual

Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographic and other market data.
