Sentara Health is currently recruiting for an Insurance Verification Rep for the Patient Accounts department in Norfolk, VA.

This position is Monday - Friday, but we do have a rotating weekend schedule. We work one weekend every 6 weeks. You will get two days off when its your weekend to work. We also work a rotating Holiday schedule. Each employee works one holiday a year. The only Holiday we don't work is Christmas day.

Job Requirements:

  • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Two of the four skill levels required: 1. One year experience in a healthcare environment or 2. Completion of healthcare-related certificate program 3. One year experience with medical insurance in a hospital or physician's office or 4. Transferable skills (i.e., 1 year or more in a call center, customer services, etc.)

Performs insurance verification for all scheduled patient services and obtains required pre-certifications in a multi-disciplinary environment.
