POSITION TYPE: Full and Part Part-Time Crew Positions Available

PAY RATE: $14+ tips

The Gourmandie is a specialty foods market located in Schweitzer's Village. We focus

on providing artisanalitems from around the world and highlight the culinary

craftsmanship of the Northwest in our deli selections. The Gourmandie features

espresso, farmstead cheeses, cured meats, and soupsas well ascraftbeer and wine.

Schweitzer is considered by many as the best skiing in Idaho! We are independently

owned and proud of it and we rank as one of the nation's top winter destinations - Come join the Fun!

POSITION SUMMARY: Our team members are enthusiastic about quality service and the Schweitzer brand. We are all passionate, genuine, and friendly people creating a great experience. If you have a growth mindset and thrive in a fun & fast-paced environment, you are probably a great fit for our team! Responsibilities include:

- Welcoming clients and directing them according to their needs within the outlet.

- Taking customer food & drink orders with the ability to recommend products from the menu as well as the beverage selections.

- Create and produce outstanding food and unique deli items.

- Assisting with the tidying of tables and keeping the outlet areas neat and pleasant.

- Ensuring kitchen and service utensils are properly prepared and / or cleaned at opening and closing to comply with health regulations.

-As a Gourmandie and Schweitzer staff member you will learn about all the facilities, services, and activities that are offered on the mountain and will be able to effectively communicate this information to guests.

- Please note: Work schedule will include weekends and holidays.

REQUIRED SKILLS : If you are the right person for this opportunity, you will have previous experience in:
  • Capacity to garnish and style food for service.
  • Stock, rotate & merchandise market items.
  • Diligence and willingness to always improve.
  • Ability to withstand the job's physical demands (i.e. standing/walking for up to 8-10 hours per shift, occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting and reaching above shoulder level. Will also use hands for grasping and fine manipulation).
  • Familiar with point-of-sale computers/ software.
  • Aware of the Idaho State Liquor and Identification Laws.
  • Maintain the Department of Health food safe practices and cleanliness.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 19 years old for alcohol service.
  • Will operate the following equipment / tools: slicer, mixer, blender, dishwasher, coffee grinder, knives, stove / ovens, scale, and misc. kitchen hand tools.
