Job Description
Responsibilities

The Contract Administrator processes, reviews, revises, and tracks commercial contracts and confirmation contracts related to crude oil, condensate, and natural gas liquids. This individual works closely with internal groups (including commercial, legal, accounting, and IT), as well as external customers, from contract inception through execution to ensure all contracts and amendments are processed in a timely manner and are entered accurately in transactional systems.

  • Processing/entering commercial deals into the OpenLink Right Angle system.
  • Generating and modifying individual deal confirmation contracts to include terms and conditions and special provisions as needed for execution.
  • Reviewing counterparty confirmations against deal confirmation contracts and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensuring that contracts are executed as authorized in accordance with the delegation of authority, internal controls/SOX, and other company policies.
  • Drafting amendments, exhibits, terminations, and notices as required for the maintenance of commercial contracts.
  • Liaising with commercial and legal teams to resolve contracts issues and concerns to complete the contracting process.
  • Work closely with Accounting to resolve settlement issues.
  • Responding to various requests made internally and externally, including questions from internal audit, legal, and commercial to ensure that contract matters are handled in a timely manner.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.


Qualifications

  • At least 3 plus years' experience in Contract Administration in the Oil and Gas Industry strongly preferred.
  • Some college or Paralegal experience/certified in Contracts preferred.
  • Experience with OpenLink Right Angle system preferred.
  • Affinity for mastering new software tools.
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, reliable, and a self-starter.
  • A multi-tasker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines with a sense of urgency.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills required.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and familiar with IT systems.
