Job Description

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree/Experience combination of eight years
  • Experience in technical writing to include researching, developing, writing, and editing material for technical, administrative, and instructional publications

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Engineering or technical writing experience specific to the design, development, integration, testing, operation, and sustainment of C4I systems for the United States Department of Defense
  • Knowledge areas such as requirements definition, system architecture, information assurance, software development, hardware installation, test & evaluation, and training systems
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical personnel to observe, document, translate, and communicate user requirements and engineering processes

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET ELIGIBILITY

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, writes, and edits material for technical, administrative, and instructional publications concerned with work methods and procedures, and installation, operation, and maintenance of C4I equipment
  • Writes products in the style and format according to Government specifications
  • Observes, interviews, and researches to become familiar with product technologies and its operation and sustainment. Individual will understand and organize material to design writing assignments
  • Edits documents for order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology according to military standards
  • Selects or creates visual aids to illustrate material
  • Possibility for occasional travel
