PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Casino Host is an entry-level position that is the first point of contact for customer services. The Casino Host will use appropriate judgment to execute casino customer request.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports MGM Rewards Desk, Front Desk, VIP Host Desk, Host phone line and other various departments

  • Evaluate customers' casino activity to provide corresponding incentives and may have authorization to approve minimum number of comps and allowances (i.e., room, food, beverage, and/or event tickets

  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with premium level customers through telemarketing and event marketing with a special focus on cultivating relationships with high end slot customers through new and inactive leads along with booking MGM Air flight guests

  • Assist in maintaining and developing property's customer base through meeting and interacting with customers

  • Process customers' reservations by using OPERA & PATRON management systems

  • Resolve customer disputes and complaints to the satisfaction of the customer and the company

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • One (1) year of customer service experience

PREFERRED:

  • Two (2) years hotel operations, casino marketing, VIP services or table game

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting

  • Able to work in the fast-paced environment

  • Able to work as a team with co-workers

  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills

  • Demonstrates savvy interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

  • Shows flexibility in working a variety of shifts

  • Demonstrates and maintains a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to MGM Resorts International Marketing standards

  • Able to travel domestically or internationally if necessary to meet existing customer base

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms
