The Gist

Encompassing and portraying the Lagunitas brand by providing timely and hospitable service to all event guests while making and serving beverages. Inherently knowledgeable of all Lagunitas Beverages..

What You'll Do

  • Welcomes guests in an enthusiastic and friendly manner.
  • Check identification of guests to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
  • Serves alcoholic beverages in an appropriate manner consistent with Lagunitas policies and procedures, following all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain thorough, up-to-date knowledge of beer styles and food menu.
  • Manages food and beverage delivery to guests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain constant communication with fellow event staff to ensure efficient pub procedures.
  • Constant interaction with guests to ensure satisfaction with food, drinks, and service.
  • Utilizes pub POS system to account for the beverages and additional food accurately to report back for Food and Beverage Minimums according to event contracts.
  • Follow company cash handling procedures, accountable for all daily transactions.
  • Respond to guest complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to management or security as needed.
  • Responsible for constant sanitation, organization, and proper food handling.
  • Responsible for set up and breakdown of designated spaces before and after events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We're Lookin' For

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1 year prior serving and bartending experience in high volume pub or restaurant.
  • Thrives in fast paced environment; willing to work flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Able to demonstrate integrity, mature judgment in handling all matters.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills; works well under pressure.
  • Outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong verbal communication skills.
  • Team work ethic.
  • Basic math skills to handle cash, give change and balance cash drawer accurately at the end of shift.
  • Responsible Beverage Service Certificate & Food Handler Certificate required upon hire. Able to complete Beer Server Cicerone Training upon hire.
  • General knowledge of craft beer is desired.

KeyRelationships

  • Reports directly to Senior Guest Experience Manager.
  • Frequent interaction with Taproom staff and General Manager.

Physical Stuff

  • Majority of the shift is spent standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, and pushing.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
  • Environment is indoors and outdoors and may involve noise and temperature changes.
