Infrastructure Security Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Security Engineer with expertise in various infrastructure technologies, such as Microsoft Azure, Windows Server OS, Linux Server OS, Microsoft Security tooling such as Microsoft Defender for Cloud, etc to join our team. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our on-premise and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Azure services, Microsoft security tools, as well as additional knowledge in Windows Server OS, Red Hat Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Cisco UCS, and VMware.

The base salary range for this role is $100K-$115K Annually
This is a remote position, but qualified candidates must be within 60 miles of either Greenville WI, Mansfield OH, or Lombard IL.

Summary of Primary Responsibilities
  • On-Premise and Cloud:
    • Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure solutions.
    • Implement security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, and data protection.
    • Implement and optimize services such as VMWare, Virtual Machines, Virtual Desktops, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, and others.
    • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, architect solutions, and implement based projects.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance to support teams and end-users on related issues and best practices.
  • Develop automation scripts and templates for provisioning and managing Azure resources using tools such as PowerShell, ARM templates, and Azure CLI.
  • Stay current with Azure updates, features, and best practices, implementing changes as needed to enhance our cloud infrastructure.
  • Contributes to infrastructure 24/7 on-call and travels as needed to deploy new systems.
Minimum Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 years of IT experience at an enterprise level
  • Strong background in Windows Server operating systems, including installation, configuration, and administration.
  • Strong background in Microsoft Azure, including tenant and subscription management, resource provisioning, cloud governance, and cloud cost management.
  • Strong background with Microsoft Security tools such as Microsoft Defender.
  • Familiarity with VMware virtualization technology, including vSphere, vCenter, and VMware ESXi.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, including user and group management, Group Policy, and LDAP integration.
  • Knowledge of DNS (Domain Name System) and DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) services.
  • Understanding of Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System) for server hardware management and virtualization.
  • Experience with Red Hat Linux Server operating systems.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts.
