PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Operations Production Manager is to supervise the production team and ensure event fabrication projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company standards. This role requires extensive experience in prop fabrication, construction, and the theatrical or event industry. You will coordinate with the warehouse team for timely preparation and setup, assign daily tasks to fabrication staff, and ensure quality and timely delivery of props.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Production Oversight: Manage the production department, ensuring alignment with client budgets and service standards.

  • Project Management: Estimate materials, create budgets, track reports, and maintain vendor relationships.

  • Daily Operations: Assign tasks to fabrication staff and ensure timely, complete delivery of props.

  • Budget & Purchasing: Approve purchase requests, monitor event costs, and manage scheduling.

  • Venue Coordination: Understand venue specs and conduct site inspections.

  • Client Communication: Update clients on project status and delivery.

  • Event Participation: Assist with event setup and teardown as needed.

  • Business Development: Provide project estimates and collaborate with project management.

WHAT YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of prior relevant experience in prop fabrication, construction, theatrical, or event industry.

WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Knowledge of creating budgets, estimates and project tracking.

  • Managing multiple projects in a high-volume environment.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Ability to operate hand and power tools, scissor lift, and forklift.
