Job Description

The Project Manager III provides functional, technical, and programmatic expertise to the GDSS program related to the management of system level requirements, release planning and scheduling, and coordination of program actions to develop, field, and maintain integrated IT solutions for GDSS.

Responsibilities:

  • Functional and technical lead for GDSS application and environment setup. Coordinate schedule, environments, and requirements to support exercises. Plan and coordinate multi-mission partner testing including drafting test plans for integrated, multi-system testing. Make recommendations to leadership on system changes, plans for schedules, hot-/warm-fix needs, new tools, applications, and changes to improve processes.
  • Coordinate programmatic needs and actions across the program team, other programs, system developers, help desk, system engineers, and other program related functions to facilitate system operations, special projects, and field new system capabilities.
  • Assist the Government with requirements management including maintaining a repository, analyzing requirements, facilitating approval through configuration processes, and maintaining end-to-end traceability through fielding.
  • Provide functional and technical support to system operations including reviewing and providing input to system trouble tickets in Remedy, assisting with trouble shooting system outages, monitoring and providing inputs to resolve system issues impacting operations.
  • Manage releases, patches, schedules, backlogs, sprints, testing, patches, and fielding, including hot-/warm-fix deliverables from requirement generation through production install.
  • Produce, coordinate, and manage Interim Authority to Test (IATT) and Minor Mods for version releases and special projects.
  • Manage interface and web-service agreements and cross domain solutions, including documenting data exchanges, drafting data flow diagrams, coordination with system engineers, and planning, scheduling, and managing end-to-end testing and fielding.
  • Coordinate, document, monitor, and support a variety of meetings and working groups including: scheduling and set up of physical and virtual meetings; drafting presentations, providing functional, programmatic, and technical inputs; and producing meeting minutes.
  • Apply DoD and industry guidance and principals to develop, monitor, and maintain Integrated master schedules using MS Project.
  • Assist the Government with developing and maintaining procedures for receipt of contract deliverables, and review deliverables for technical completeness and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Assist with the creation and coordination of program functional and technical documentation, briefings, reports, and correspondence as requested by the Program Manager.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience.
  • Clearance Requirement: SECRET
  • Operational experience with GDSS highly desired.
  • Knowledge of project management principles.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies desired
