Overview

Nakupuna Consulting is seeking an Acquisition Specialist to join our team of talented consultants providing professional services to an OSD client. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

    Provide direct acquisition support to the Office of Business Operations.
  • Advise Acquisitions Manager of DoD acquisition requirements and program office needs.
  • Partner with the Acquisitions Manager and program office Directors to determine acquisition paths that both meet mission requirements, while reducing redundant contracts and confusion.
  • Develop a system of record for all contracts and disseminate information as needed.
  • Develop program office specific process in alignment with DoD acquisition guidelines.
  • Build and perform acquisition training for program management and project personnel.
  • Support government efforts to monitor, assess, analyze, and report on prime and vendor performance of contracts.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • This position requires 5-10 or more years of relevant professional experience in acquisition and Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with DoD is required.

Location: Work is performed on Government site at the Pentagon, within Nakupuna offices in Arlington, Virginia, and via telework. Employment is not full-time telework but conducted in a hybrid schedule consisting of both on-site support and telework. Employees will work in close proximity with Government personnel.

Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active SECRET or TS/SCI security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.
