We have an opportunity for an Assistant Facilities Engineer. The Assistant Facilities Engineer will aid the Facilities Engineer in the day-to-day technical support and management of the Facilities Division, with an emphasis on Delegation Program Preventive Maintenance tasks, scheduling, auditing, and close out procedures. We are seeking an individual with a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of progressive facility maintenance experience in commercial facilities/building maintenance and repair (e.g. HVAC, carpentry, plumbing and electrical work) or similar duties. The preferred individual will also possess a Universal Technician certification as required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in accordance with Section 608 of the Clean Air Act. The certification must be administered by an EPA approved organization to allow the certificate holder to handle refrigerants in various appliances and systems.


The Court will pay for the following two certifications to be obtained as necessary: OSHA 10 and Cal-OSHA Asbestos O&M Initial 16-hour course (OSHA class 3).

This recruitment will fill a vacancy in either of the following Court's regions: Western Region (locations in Corona and Riverside), Mid-County Region (locations in Menifee, Murrieta, Temecula, Moreno Valley, and Hemet), or Desert Region (locations in Banning, Blythe, Indio, and Palm Springs), as well as fill future vacancies countywide.
