Job Description

The Warehouse I roleis primarily responsible for manual and administrative duties related to moving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Uses SAP to determine parts availability, on order, stock location, and perform transactions.
  • Partners with cell leaders to consolidate manufactured goods and spare parts forkits.
  • Maintains schedule integrity to meet monthly billings targets and on time delivery of each cell.
  • Moves approved raw materials from the warehouse to production.
  • Moves packaged finished goods from production to warehouse.
  • Responsible for transporting items to designated area and follows up on timely, accurate disposition.
  • Prepares orders for shipment in situations when finished goods are in stock at time of order.
  • Performs packaging materials cycle count to maintain accurate computer values for packaging.
  • Performs material cycle counts for key items to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Assists the shipping department, as necessary, in normal department functions including shipping and receiving.
  • Assists in maintaining the warehouse facility.
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner observing all safety rules, following general manufacturing practices and using personal protective equipment when appropriate.
  • Actively participates in lean transformation initiatives in support of company's improvement efforts.

LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

There are no leadership responsibilities for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic to moderate computer skills withExcel andOutlook.
  • Requires a High School Graduate or G.E.D.
  • Six months to one year warehousing/material handling experience preferred.
  • Fork lift experience
  • Basic reading, math skills, and attention to detail is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to walk and move freely and regularly lift up to 30pounds of stock and occasionally up to lift/move up to 75 lbs.
  • Knowledgeable in warehousing procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in the safe operation of forklift; experience with stretch-wrap equipment preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime hours as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Requires the ability to judge space requirements for storing pallets on warehouse shelves.

Routine job requires movement of materials via hand or lift truck. Daily tasks may include individual movement and palletization of product.

Proper safety equipment and training will be provided.
