Would you like to help senior consumers navigate Medicare healthcare insurance options? This role is available in all US states (except PR) and fully remote.

Join our Retiree Health Solutions Team

Our team provides Medicare health insurance services to the retiree community. We work with retirees to help them navigate and choose the plan that fits their financial and medical needs. We build relationships with seniors on a one-to-one basis understand their needs and ensure we deliver tailored, cost-effective solutions.

About the role

As a Temporary Virtual Benefit Advisor, you will sell and enroll retirees into appropriate insurance products including but not limited to health, prescription drug, vision, dental plans, and advising Pre-Medicare eligible recipients of their options. You will build trusted, understanding relationships by phone to advise and guide our customers throughout the process. You will maintain the highest level of integrity while providing Medicare education, conducting needs analysis, and assisting the retirees in selecting an appropriate plan for their needs. Also offering customer service assistance as needed throughout the process.

The work you will do:

  • Using your knowledge of Medicare health, prescription drug plan, vision, and dental enrollments to identify the needs of the customer.
  • Using a needs analysis based selling approach, accurately answering questions, addressing any concerns, and recommending appropriate plans.
  • Consistently provide a world class experience at all customer touchpoints
  • Enrolling retirees compliantly and efficiently by reading provided script verbatim.
  • Conducting outbound phone calls to pre-set appointments, generating direct to consumer leads.
  • Meeting and/or exceeding key performance indicators
  • Handling inbound service calls by providing accurate and complete information
  • Actively managing all assigned appointments to ensure all retirees needs are met on a timely basis.
  • Responding to voicemails within 24 hours, internal chat requests, handle and resolve customer complaints and/or client escalations.
  • Delivering a consistently positive customer experience in a highly ethical and professional manner
  • Absorbing new information and possessing the flexibility to adapt to new processes rapidly.
  • Processing a wide range of complex details and articulating the details in simple terms to customers with varying levels of knowledge and education
  • Maintaining active resident health (and life if required) insurance license, or ability to renew license prior to start date, and any riders required by state (Med Sup/Illness/Critical Care)

To perform this job successfully, you will need a dedicated quiet home office/workspace with stable internet connection. A home-based system test will be required to ensure speed and quality match company requirements (currently minimum speed is 100 Mbps). Cost for internet and/or phone services and equipment will not be reimbursable. Alight will provide all necessary equipment for the role. The most successful agents maximize their selling opportunity from October 1st thru December 31st.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid, NPN and insurance license.
  • Must pass the required licensing exam, AHIP, and carrier certifications annually.
  • Strong consultative sales and/or service background
  • Ability to work any shift assigned while the call center is open. The center is open from 7:00am - 1:00am CT, seven days a week during AEP season.
  • Have excellent time management, the ability to multitask, a desire to learn and the ability to self-study.
  • Aptitude for understanding details of Medicare insurance and complying with all CMS regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office proficiency

  • Effective communication, conflict resolution and decision-making skills
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting steps and utilize resources properly.
  • No contracting restrictions as related to carriers and/or previous employers. Release documents are required if previously sponsored by carriers or other companies.
  • Ability to work within a heavily regulated industry and a fast-paced/dynamic market environment.
  • High School degree (or GED) required.

Salary Pay Range

Minimum :

38,500 USD

Maximum :

61,100 USD
