The Corporate Knowledge Specialist is responsible for the capture, accuracy, and quality of content used by staff that respond to procurement opportunities. The Corporate Knowledge Specialist will work with staff throughout the organization to obtain up-to-date information about company clients, services, and projects and maintain this information according to an established refresh schedule. Corporate Knowledge Specialist may also be asked to contribute to training and educating staff on tools and technologies that house and maintain corporate content.

The Corporate Knowledge Specialist will collaborate with content teams and writers to take advantage of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in all phases of proposal development. We offer a flexible work environment, including a remote or remote/office hybrid option in our Arlington or Chantilly, Virginia offices.
Job Description:
  • Assume a lead role in managing relationships with technical staff to proactively ensure the capture, accuracy, and quality of content on an ongoing basis
  • Interface with staff and subject matter experts at every level of the organization as part of corporate content review and maintenance
  • Maintain a library of AI prompts to support staff in development of different content types (e.g., proposals, articles, stories)
  • Analyze writing prompts and identify gaps or areas for improvement
  • Support subject matter experts in developing better prompts to take advantage of AI tools
  • Gather feedback from writers and iterate on prompt designs
  • Develop a high level of expertise and depth of knowledge on assigned topics/categories and possess the ability to educate proposal writers on content and/or sources of information available to them
  • Serve as proposal coordinator (e.g., develop schedule, stand up meetings and reviews) for broad, multiyear contracts
  • Support activities focused on increasing adoption, utilization, and usability of corporate resources. Identify and deliver training/education in support of these activities
  • Identify gaps in corporate resources and augment accordingly
  • Research, receive, and distribute procurement documents to project teams
  • Explore and initiate innovative ideas that enhance process and/or content based on industry best practices
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, library science, marketing, communications, or related field
  • 5-7 years of content maintenance or proposal experience
  • MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt AI prompts to different contexts preferred
  • Experience using AI in the context of business development
  • Shipley proposal process familiarity
  • APMP Foundation-Level Certification
  • Federal and state procurement experience
  • SharePoint and MS CoPilot (or other AI) knowledge
