Position Overview:
The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing the contract management function, in coordination with the internal accounting and marketing departments at Myers and Stauffer LC.

Responsibilities:

  • Primary responsibility for the contract management system
  • Coordinate review of contract documents by all subject matter experts within stated deadlines
  • Review the terms and conditions of requests for proposal and conduct the contract administration in accordance with company policies, legal requirements and pre-approved standards, and sales/marketing guidelines
  • Work on projects to drive improvements to contract compliance processes and train business leadership on related legal issues and concerns
  • Analyze contract requirements, obligations, and risks to summarize and highlight issues for escalation.
  • Assist with inquiries, requests for information, certifications and documents from internal stakeholders as well as external parties, such as auditors, customers, and vendors
  • Monitor contract amendments, extensions, and renewals via the contract management system
  • Identify incorrect, inconsistent, and incomplete data entries in the contract management system on a continuous basis and make timely modifications to improve the quality of data
  • Maintain project management module in the accounting system
  • Establish and adhere to financial accounting and internal control policies and procedures
  • Special projects as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8-10 years of relevant work experience required
  • Background in contract review legal terminology and identification of contractual risk
  • Experience with contract management systems
  • Highly detail oriented and organized in work; skilled in reviewing your own work for completeness and accuracy
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to independently and proactively prioritize work across multiple responsibilities, and meet assigned deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to communicate and work with leadership across all MSLC offices
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects across all levels of the organization

The Team:
Myers and Stauffer takes pride in the welcoming and collaborative culture we have throughout our offices. For this position, the employee will report to the Controller on our internal accounting team.

Work Style:
Our general business hours are Monday through Friday 8am-5pm, but can vary based on business needs. Dependent on performance, our in-office associates are eligible for a hybrid work schedule after their initial 90-day training period.
