POSITION SUMMARY

Joining Constellis in this role will allow you to use your expertise to help detect and prevent acts of violence against the Legislative Branch of the United States Government. Apply for this exciting opportunity to support a program that strengthens America.

This position has a training requirement. You will be required to attend and successfully complete on the job training. You may be required to successfully complete additional training as a condition of continued employment. Failure to successfully complete the required course(s) of training in accordance with either Constellis or United States Capitol Police standards and policies will result in demotion, or separation as determined by management and appropriate procedures.

This position is onsite position located in Washington D.C.

Pay Transparency:

$75,000.00

RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Writes and coordinates content for various recurring protective intelligence, investigative, and technical reports.
  • Writes and coordinates content for various policies, procedures and briefings.
  • Identifies areas of possible overlap, omissions, or discrepancies, and resolves differences.
  • Offers suggestions and makes edits for leadership and subject matter personnel to intelligence and investigative data in lay terms and conformance with existing policy.
  • Offer suggestions for better style, clarity, and logical presentation.
  • Assists subject matter experts and law enforcement personnel in maintaining law enforcement sensitive data libraries.
  • Participates as necessary in interdisciplinary study teams.
  • You will be required to maintain access to all data systems necessary for duty execution.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service
  • Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years (additional details below)
    • Individuals are required to have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates (as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years. If you do not meet the residency requirement and you have been physically located in a foreign location for more than two of the last five years, you may request an exception to determine if you are eligible for a residency waiver by meeting one or more of the following conditions:
    • Working for the U.S. Government as a federal civilian or as a member of the military
    • A dependent who was authorized to accompany a federal civilian or member of the military who was working for the U.S. government
    • Participation in a study abroad program sponsored by a U.S. affiliated college or university
    • Working as a contractor, intern, consultant or volunteer supporting the U.S. government
  • You will be required to pass a background investigation.

  • You must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. A graduate-level degree is preferred.
    • On a case-by-case basis combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for this position
  • Possess at least an active Secret security clearance.
  • You qualify if you possess three (3) years of specialized experience performing duties listed above. A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position. You will be evaluated based on your level of competency in the following areas:
    • MUST possess administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position; experience using computer and automation systems.
    • MUST possess strong oral and writing communication skills in English.
    • MUST be able to think critically and work well under stress.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work environment is exclusively office based located in NE Washington D.C. You may be required to perform work on a shift and rotational basis. You must be readily available to work overtime on a scheduled or unscheduled basis in excess of the 40-hour work week. This position does not require a uniform. The requirement is business attire unless otherwise authorized, e.g., "business casual."

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
