This regional leadership role covers the Americas and will be based in US / Texas.


Responsibilities

  • Leads the regional Indirect Spend category organization including a team of procurement managers
  • Manages performance and creates an environment that rewards high performance & collaboration
  • Initiates ambitious target setting and saving generation based on global Procurement goals, including CAPEX
  • Develops and implements sourcing strategies for the region, in accordance with Procurement and Business Units targets
  • Ensures Procurement KPIs are met and ensures enough resources to meet business needs
  • Steers Clariant procurement processes and ensures proper application within region
  • Ensures Procurement governance on Clariant standards: Safety, compliance, audit, best practices, transparency.
  • Closely interacts with the Business to determine needs
  • Strong Stakeholder Management: Connection to BU & Function leaders, Country Heads in alignment with global strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Procurement or related field
  • 8+ years of commercial/procurement experience, ideally in a relevant industry
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience in a multinational environment
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish language skills advantageous
  • Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder management capabilities
  • Business acumen with high flexibility to tackle diverse topics
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel with the region NORAM/LATAM necessary (in single cases trips to Europe may be required) - depending on business needs
