Job Title: 1607 FT Senior BSA & AML Specialist - Jasper, IN, Evansville, IN, Owensboro, KY

Overview:

As a Senior BSA/AML Specialist, your focus will be on deterring and detecting those who seek to misuse the U.S. financial system. You will meticulously review transactions, serving as a line of defense against money laundering and other illegal financial crimes. Your work reviewing transactions, providing support to front line staff, as well as acting as a resource for other BSA or OFAC related topics, is essential in the company's program to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act!

What You'll Do:

  • Day in the Life - Daily you will review and submit cash transaction reports (CTRs), evaluate customers for appropriate risk assignment, and review transaction and risk alerts provided by team members or Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) software, as well as perform Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) reviews of transactions. Your knack for detail will come in handy as you review reports for unusual activity on a regular basis. You will create cases for any unusual activity that you uncover to aid in meeting BSA regulatory reporting requirements. You will create, review and submit Suspicious Activity Reports.

What it Takes:

  • Work Experience: Prior experience in banking and/or risk management roles; prior experience (5 + years) in BSA/AML investigations or similar work or education/certification
  • Soft Skills: Ability to multi-task in a regulatory reporting, deadline-driven environment; enthusiastic; ability to work independently and as a team member; detail oriented
  • Technical Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication; analytical and critical thinking, strong research abilities; Microsoft Office skills; willingness and ability to learn our core processing software, BSA related software products and regulatory requirements, and bank policies and procedures
