Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator provides communications/marketing support, including content creation, media placements, print production, social media, and digital engagement, client relations, strategic planning, market research, analytics, and project management.

Essential Job Functions

  • Helps plan and execute initiatives to reach target audiences through appropriate channels like social media, email, print and digital ads, radio, and other emerging media outlets
  • Assists in the development and implementation of strategic communications plans for internal and external clients
  • Researches and makes media placements
  • Creates content for social media, websites, advertising, proposals, and other materials
  • Supports timely coordination and production of materials, including establishing timelines by assigning jobs, monitoring volumes, creating project schedules, and tracking progress
  • Provides support to marketing leads and department leadership, as needed
  • Coordinates internal and external printing, including securing quotes, transferring files, conducting press checks, and managing delivery logistics on tight deadlines
  • Assists in managing digital assets and platforms, ensuring compliance in areas like 508 and other areas that require ADA attention
  • Source, negotiate and manage corporate orders for promotional merchandise for programs and events, including business cards, and other specialty printed items
  • Coordinates internal digital communications including birthday messages for team members
  • Builds strong relationships with internal and external clients
  • Explores new tools and technologies to advance the mission of the team
  • Assist and coordinate still photography, video projects, and presentations
  • Undertake other related duties as delegated to support the overall marketing and organizational goals
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education/Training

  • Bachelor's degree, required
  • Applicable degrees include journalism, marketing, mass communications, public relations, or related field

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a marketing capacity, preferred
