The Assistant Manager Construction is responsible for assisting the Construction Manager in managing the day to day operations and work package or packages for safety, quality, cost, schedule, closeout, and professional completion (technical and commercial) The Construction Manager will be directed by the Project Manager, Project Director. The Construction Manager will coordinate with the project team to perform duties as required for the Successful completion of project.

  • Be a leader in all aspects of Safety.
  • Be the secondary point of contact for the Clients representative, (PM) and Exyte representative for the assigned work package or packages, safety, quality, cost, schedule.
  • lead the Project Handover with the project execution plan, ensure all project documents/information are uploaded to DMCS.
  • Understand the Exyte and client contract as well as the Exyte - Subcontractor contract, scope, schedule, terms & conditions, liability, penalty etc.
  • Review the responsibility matrix for the Project. Review and acknowledge by signing the Roles & Responsibilities for Assistant Construction Manager.
  • Attend the regular project meetings with the Client and Project team as dictated by prime contract.
  • Maintain meeting minutes on DMCS for all meeting.
  • lead, maintain risk register and escalate risks to Construction Manager, Project Manager, Project Director as required, with Risk Mitigation Plan to be approved.
  • Provide accurate project status reports, risk registry, schedule, etc. as required by the Project Manager, and project director on a weekly/monthly.
  • Provide leadership to the CC team, review the responsible matrix of the project team and general roles and responsibilities for the Construction Coordinators and, Superintendents.
  • Assist in the development of the project execution plan and implant the Project Procedure Manual into the project.
  • Assist in the development of the lesson learned sessions monthly with your CC's and project team.
  • Assist in Closeout of the technical and commercial work package documents etc.
  • Review the project closeout check list, handed over with Document Control, Warranty manager, and commercial.
  • Coordinate with the Construction Manager and Project Manager to develop the Project Close-out
Show your expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field preferred
  • OSHA 30 Required
  • 3+ years of large construction project experience
  • Semiconductor experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point), Adobe Writer, Visio and basic Windows environment
  • General knowledge of BIM, BIM360 and BIM Field
  • Must be able to communicate technical material to other technical stake holders and to a non-technical audience
