The Sales Enablement (SE) team is a multidisciplinary team dedicated to training and development, sales content guidance and management as well as leading sales programs that increases the effectiveness and efficiency of Sales. We're hiring a Sr. Sales Training and Development Lead to help build and deliver best-in-class learning experiences for all global sellers at Pinterest. You will be able to connect client needs with product capabilities across a variety of Pinterest products, weaving that together with the Pinterest narrative and advertiser objectives. The role will partner closely with other team members and cross-functional stakeholders. This is a multi-faceted, fast-paced job in a start-up environment so flexibility, a data-driven mindset, a strong work ethic, and a good sense of humor are a must. The right candidate will be a strategic thought leader who is driven by learning and solving ambiguous problems.

What you'll do:

  • Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to design, develop, and maintain / manage product training curricula that is relevant for our internal sales and sales support teams training needs.
  • Refine training content and presentations based on local audience needs for a global company.
  • Understand complex processes and products, distilling them down into a digestible format for a less technical audience.
  • Participate in audits of existing training materials to ensure relevance and currency for learners.
  • Support learning program updates by providing insight and feedback on best instructional practices.
  • Partner closely with other Training & Development professionals on the team to ensure learning experiences are fun, engaging, and help sellers adopt new skills and abilities.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Product Marketing Managers (PMMs) at Pinterest.
  • Define and report out metrics that assess learning effectiveness and/or opportunities.

What we're looking for:

  • 6+ years of experience. Digital media advertising industry experience preferred.
  • Experience developing learning experiences for sellers, particularly on performance advertising topics.
  • Strategic ability to understand the priorities for Pinterest as a company and how learning and development can best address skill and knowledge gaps in the workforce.
  • A structured and detail-oriented thinker. You're as comfortable solving conceptual problems and creating frameworks to refine a team's thinking as you are getting into the weeds to understand how things work.
  • Strong communication skills. You can move seamlessly between conversing with product marketing managers or frontline sales employees and lead presentations with senior leads.
  • An individual that thrives in a fast-moving environment and is independently capable of seeking information, corralling resources, and delivering results without waiting for direction.
  • Manages complexity - Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. Has strong organizational skills and is able to manage multiple activities at once. Has high attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently plan & prioritize across multiple projects with diverse objectives & needs.
