The General Clerk III uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. The General Clerk III selects from alternative methods and refers to problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive guides, manuals, or procedures. Typical duties include: assisting in a variety of administrative matters; maintaining a wide variety of financial or other records (stored both manually and electronically); verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; compiling information; and handling and adjusting complaints.

The General Clerk III may also direct lower-level clerks. Positions above level IV are excluded. Such positions (which may include supervisory responsibility for lower-level clerks) require workers to use a thorough knowledge of an office's work and routine to 1) choose among widely varying methods and procedures to process complex transactions, and 2) select or devise steps necessary to complete assignments. Typical jobs covered by this exclusion include administrative assistants, clerical supervisors, and office managers.

Provides priority service to all PSA employees based on receipt of a request, priority of schedule, and importance of the request. Responsible for processing, receiving, opening, and distributing all asset management products. Implements and oversees the Agency's asset/property management program.

  • Receives maintenance requests via email and/or telephone from PSA staff. Gathering all pertinent information regarding the request and forwarding it to the appropriate entity (i.e. building maintenance, building engineers, vendors.
  • Generates work orders for the maintenance requests, and closes the work orders when the work is verified as complete.
  • Receives requests for telephone moves and changes and coordinates them with CSOSA IT. Gathers all pertinent information regarding telephone change such as building location, room number, name of the user, and phone number. Ascertain exactly what the user would like modified (i.e. reset voice mail). Forward information to CSOSA IT in a timely manner and a follow-up call will be made to the requestor to ensure the request was handled properly.
  • Movement of items within a PSA's facility (Le. chairs, furniture, boxes, paper, set-up conference, etc. Generating reports to confirm requests that the actual work has been done.
  • Assists with maintaining the property file, which contains all original documentation when possible, from whatever source, pertaining to the asset.
  • Receives all assets that arrive at the Support Services Center or the specific location as a note in the Purchase Order (PO) or Contract. Open all boxes or packaging and remove documentation. Verify packing slip against authorized PO or Contract and ensure inclusion in the Property File.
  • Reports any discrepancies or damage to the Office of Procurement for purchased orders and the purchaser.
  • Bar codes received equipment/furnishings and entered into AMS if the acquisition cost is greater than the amount determined by the Property management Policies and Procedures Manual. Maintains purchase order log for all incoming items.
  • Supervises lower-level clerks and maintains the Support Service Center in the absence of the Project Manager.
  • Ensures that SSC vehicles are properly signed out and returned.
  • Responsible for working with a positive team spirit and producing quality work.
  • Responsible for appropriate conduct and demeanor as dictated by Didlake Policy.
  • Responsible for following safety standards and guidelines in the proper use of the equipment and other activities.
  • Completes and maintains all Didlake required training.
  • Acts as a good steward of Government funding and Government-furnished equipment.
