GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The position is responsible for product planning and execution throughout the lifecycle of diversified fruit (mango, roots, dragon fruit, and other products) portfolio. This entails, leading the strategic initiative of an emerging market of high-quality diversified fruit from Latin American countries to increase revenue and profitability Dole Fresh Fruit North America.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS/DUTIES OF THE POSITION:

* Develop sales for diversified fruit and leverage customer relationships to maximize sales volume, revenue, and profit for DFFNA.

* Utilize established relationships with farmers, growers, and packers to source high quality diversified fruit that includes but to not limited to: Mango, Roots, Dragon Fruit, Yuca, and others.

* Collaborate with vendors and internal partners in sourcing, shipping, transportation, distribution and prioritizing product and customer requirements, to maximize the efficient distribution of product to customers.

* Participate in developing sourcing strategy with growers/packers to ensure the costs are competitive and will lead to profitability for NA sales bottom-line.

* Ensure the new diversified portfolio products and services consistently meet client requirements through initiative-taking and detailed knowledge of products and services offered.

* Promote on-going contract renewal by ensuring customer satisfaction and regularly visiting client locations.

* Serve as a leader on trends and challenges that can impact the sales and sourcing of the diversified portfolio volumes with potential negative impact in meeting customer demand.

* Work with Latin America sourcing, DFFNA Sales, DFFNA Management, DFFNA Finance team to develop product strategies that would drive on-going profitability increase in the DFFNA Diversified Portfolio Program.

WITH WHOM: Suppliers: Diversified Portfolio (that includes but not limited to: Mango, Roots, Dragon Fruit, etc) growers and shippers throughout Latin America

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION:

BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related fields

10+ years involvement in sourcing diversified fruit or emerging fruits sales in North America

Fluency in Spanish or bilingual Spanish preferred.
