About the Job

The University of Minnesota's Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a licensed psychologist for a 0.9 FTE academic track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level. The position will consist of administrative and research activities that require expertise in working with children and adolescents with behavioral and anxiety disorders.

Duties/Responsibilities:
90% Project Management for Behavioral Intervention-based Research Studies
- Complete regulatory activities: prepare protocols, monitor studies, and ensure studies are operating in accordance with institutional review board and other regulations and guidelines
- Coordinate with data analysts to collaboratively develop data management strategies designed to organize data coming from multimodal data streams
- Hire and train staff to conduct research procedures
- Actively apply for new grants

-Supervise the efficient scheduling of appointments with participants and assessment staff per protocols. Ensure that participants receive instructions and materials needed to prepare for the visit.
-Help as needed with preparing for study appointments per protocol by: reserving rooms and equipment; printing off forms; creating participant profiles within data capture systems; charging equipment; and other tasks as needed.
-Collect data using paper forms, computers, iPads, digital databases, and specialized equipment, per protocol, as well as facilitate collection of high-intensity within-subject data such as electronic momentary assessment and physiological data from wearable devices.

-Conduct weekly behavioral intervention (therapy) appointments as part of study protocol.
-Support patients during behavioral interventions,, including providing instructions, technical troubleshooting, and clarifying questions.
- Supervise scoring of assessment materials and complete paperwork from appointments. Verify scores of assessments from other raters.
-Extract data from third party vendor platforms (e.g., cognitive assessment software) for permanent storage in study databases.
-Other tasks as assigned.

This is a unique opportunity to develop a system and strategies for conducting high-intensity within subject data collection in the context of behavioral interventions. The faculty member in this role will exercise creativity in mentoring and teaching research staff, establishing data organization and management strategies, and in providing behavioral interventions for research participants.. The successful applicant will join an active and growing department of 72 highly collaborative and engaged faculty members. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Psychology, Social Work, or Counseling or related field.

Preferred candidates will have a strong foundation and career experience in assessment and interpretation of psychological tests, obtaining independent external research funding, screening and recruiting participants, obtaining informed consent, data entry and database management, and previous experience working with children and adolescents with behavioral and anxiety disorders.
