In this role, you will participate in a comprehensive 12-month training period during which time the you will be trained to perform the duties of an Air Quality Specialist. The main responsibilities of this position include assisting with conducting inspections, investigating complaints, and developing emission inventories within a designated geographical area to ensure compliance with the Clean Air Act. Responsibilities also involve assisting in overseeing facilities assigned by the Air Quality District Supervisor to address air pollution issues in accordance with the Bureau's regulations. Additionally, tasks include collecting and inputting emission inventory data, planning inspection schedules, and providing background information to Engineering staff for new source approvals. Inspections of control equipment and air pollution sources are conducted to verify compliance with permit conditions and regulations.
