Overview: We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Generalist to join our procurement team at Loureiro Engineering Associates. This role is ideal for a candidate with 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or a related field, looking to expand their skills within the dynamic environment of an engineering and construction firm.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies aligned with project needs and company objectives.
  • Support the sourcing, evaluation, and selection of suppliers based on quality, cost, reliability, and timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Assist in negotiating contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors under the guidance of senior procurement managers.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers and engineers, to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Help maintain supplier relationships, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of issues to facilitate smooth procurement operations.
  • Contribute to analyzing market trends, pricing, and supply-demand dynamics to support informed decision-making.
  • Assist in managing procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier databases.
  • Support in monitoring supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement, and assisting in implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Aid in tracking procurement budgets, expenditures, and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and compliance standards related to procurement activities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the engineering or construction industry.
  • Basic understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
