About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Application Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. The individual seeking this opportunity will have extensive knowledge in application support, development, and management, as well as a proven track record of working with complex software systems. The Senior Application Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our applications, providing technical expertise, and driving continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Application Support: Provide advanced technical support for enterprise applications, resolving complex issues and ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Application Development: Collaborate with development teams to design, build, and implement new features and enhancements, ensuring alignment with business requirements.

  • System Integration: Manage and support the integration of applications with other systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.

  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical expert and mentor for junior staff, providing guidance and training as needed.

  • Project Management: Lead and participate in application-related projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and alignment with project goals.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of application configurations, procedures, and best practices.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.

  • Performance Monitoring: Implement and monitor application performance metrics, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.

  • Security: Ensure that applications are secure, compliant with regulations, and follow best practices for data protection.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Training: Organizes end user training and applies virtual training tools.

  • Monitoring/Integrity Reports: Monitor integrity reports and work with end users to clear variances.

  • Governance/Change Management: Implement change management, supports audit, ensures compliance and segregation of duties.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in MIS, Computer Science, Business or Finance/Accounting preferred. Real Estate and Construction industry experience a plus.

  • Experienced in analyzing project scope and determining resources needed to meet project demand.

  • Experience leading multiple technical initiatives through cross-functional, matrix environments using strong program and project management tools and practices.

  • Strong planning and organizational skills. Detail oriented, decisive and goal oriented to consistently exceed objectives.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to quickly understand business issues and data challenges of the organization.

  • Experienced managing full lifecycle implementations.

  • Ability to quickly understand business issues and data challenges of the organization.

  • Experience creating business requirements, working directly with end users, creating detailed functional design documentation from business requirements

  • Proficiency in PC tools including report writers, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and flowcharting tools.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.

  • Team Player: Collaborative mindset, with a willingness to work as part of a team and share knowledge.

  • Customer Focus: Strong commitment to customer satisfaction and delivering high quality solutions.
