WEYI/WBSF is seeking a dynamic Sports Director. We want this person to bring a unique combination of journalistic and broadcasting skills. In this role, you will provide content for our local broadcast and digital platforms, as well as maintain a robust presence on our social media pages. Your responsibilities as a Sports Director will include anchoring, reporting, shooting and editing stories, enterprising story ideas, developing contacts, as well as other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Sharp news judgment
• Smooth pleasant delivery
• Strong 'in the field and in studio live' skills
• Ability to pitch and research story ideas
• Excellent technical skills
• Strong writing skills
• Sharp video shooting and editing skills
• Exemplary communication skills
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and a good driving record

Requirements and Qualifications:

• You must have at least 2 to 3 years of anchor and reporting experience
• Live commercial television experience is a must
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field preferred
• Exceptional written communications skills using a conversational writing style
• Strong editorial judgment and a proven ethical foundation
