Job Description

Position Summary:

The Marketing department at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville is seeking applicants for a Graphic Designer. This position will be responsible for conceptualizing, planning, and executing digital and print designs to support the strategic objectives of the institution; creating on-brand, compelling visual assets used to inform, educate, inspire, and/or persuade. The ability to complete highly complex projects using a variety of graphics and layout programs, such as Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop is required.

This is a full-time position offering excellent benefits and paid leave. Salary range for this position is $40,000 - $45,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates, designs, and produces artwork per project specifications through various mediums.
  • Analyzes and identifies cost effective options to meet project requirements.
  • Schedules logistics, secures resources, organizes, and monitors art production projects adhering to established timelines and expectations.
  • Answers questions and provides information and problem resolution options to clients and stakeholders.
  • Applies creative expertise within established brand and style guidelines.
  • Works collaboratively with other creative professionals, engages in and responds to creative feedback, manages project workflow and timing, maintains files, and follows established work unit processes.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Associate Degree
  • At least one year of experience in graphic design or a related field.
  • Capable of multitasking, meeting deadlines, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in using various media and file formats for web and print, such as vector, HTML, XML, JPG, GIF, and Flash.
  • Proficient in using a range of graphics and layout software, including Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Adaptable to changes and edits.
