Overview

TRC is recruiting for an experienced and dynamic Sr. HR Director Human Resource Power business unit to support driving engagement and the day-to-day execution of Human Resource activities while delivering HR strategies for the Company. This HR Leader will serve as a strategic business partner working with the Power President, his Practice Leaders, team members and with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that attract, retain and develop talent, promote employee growth and satisfaction, and align with organizational goals and objectives. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources and leads three HR Business Partners supporting 3,800 Power employees across all 50 US States, Puerto Rico, and Canada.


As a TRC Human Resource Leader, you will ensure that all Human Resources policies and procedures are implemented along with ensuring understanding by leadership teams. In addition, you will consult, guide, and coach all levels of leadership (including senior and executive leaders) to create a positive and productive environment. Member of the HR Leadership team responsible for supporting and leading HR initiatives across all TRC.

Location: Houston, TX or Austin, TX


Responsibilities

  • Provide HR guidance and advice to all levels of management starting with team leaders, line managers and executive leaders on HR policy and procedures while balancing needs with best practices.
  • Be a credible activist for your clients, your team, your HR peers and TRC's mission.
  • Have a positive can-do attitude and be an innovative problem solver.
  • Hands on leader who is willing to roll up his/her sleeves and get in the trenches with the HR teams.
  • Understand TRC's business and how what you do positively impacts growth.
  • Identify training needs for individuals and create learning and develop plans utilizing the TRC Academy.
  • Heavy employee relations experience with ability to create and implement sustainable solutions. Work in partnership with the business leaders, legal team, and VP HR Compliance.
  • Able to understand the driers of the business from hourly workers to executives both in the Power Business Unit and corporate functions.
  • Be a leader throughout the Business - speak up and exert influence to create and sustain positive change.
  • Ability to have influence at all levels in the organization.
  • Propose, develop and lead HR initiatives.
  • Travels when required (Less than 10%)
  • Enjoys being challenged and able to multi-task in a fast-paced and growing environment.
  • Know, learn, and keep up to date on the HR best practices and ever-changing regulations.
  • Lead the Power Sector OMDR (Organizational Management and Development Review process focusing on Talent Management and Development, Succession Planning, etc.)

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Evidence of exceptional ability.
  • 15+ years of HR Leadership and HRBP experience.
  • Must have service industry experience in the Power industry.
  • Strong generalist HR experience from a multi-site / multi-state environment (US, Puerto Rico, Canada).
  • Good working knowledge of local employment law and HR best practices (US, Puerto Rico, Canada).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to develop positive and trusting working relationships across all levels and functions.
  • Proven track record of positively influencing teams and their leaders.
  • Ability to connect and engage with all teams at all levels and treat everyone with dignity and respect.
  • Comfortable working in a lean, dynamic, fast-paced, growing and constantly changing environment.
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience working for a Private Equity backed business is desirable.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $165,000.00 - USD $240,000.00 /Yr.
