Job Description

Summary: In partnership with the Production Supervisor, leads the day-to-day activities of employees engaged in manufacturing the MCP (Modular Central Plants) products on our 2nd shift. This person will provide technical and operational direction and support the quality and safety requirements of Daikin applied and our products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitors production activities to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shipping schedules.
  • Assists in carrying out production objectives at the lowest cost, consistent with the organization's quality requirements.
  • Trains other employees in day-to-day procedures.
  • Maintains quality/quantity standards regarding output.
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Maintains time and production records.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a complex manufacturing environment, welding, metal fabrication and large assembly
  • Experience leading teams directly or in-directly, including technical training and development.
  • HVAC experience preferred.
  • AAS degree in welding, electrical or similar is preferred.
