We are seeking a Senior Financial Education Coordinator to be responsible for delivering financial coaching, helping to coordinate and provide CTI's financial programming including the Financial Literacy Academy, One-on-One Financial Coaching and the full range of other Financial Education workshops and conferences, as well as co-managing the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

Duties and Essential Functions:

Provide financial coaching and case management to clients; schedule individual sessions with clients as needed to address specific issues regarding financial/credit management; refer clients to appropriate resources at CTI and in the community; perform intake and data collection on clients in care to ensure outcome measurement for reporting to funding sources. Assist household with stabilizing income by providing assistance with accessing internal and external community resources and assisting with enrollment into those resources.

Manage CTI's Financial Literacy Academy; includes coordinating and facilitating events, recruiting volunteer instructors, leading workshops, securing space, food and childcare.

Plan and implement Financially Hers, Money Talks Youth Conference and other specialty events.

Facilitate outreach and workshop presentations. Collaborate with program staff and other departments to provide programming that increases knowledge of banking, saving, budgeting and overall personal money management. Teach various financial workshops and/or trainings. Coordinate family financial events for families in the communities of Greater Lowell; collaborate with school systems to facilitate events in the schools; collaborate with local financial institutions to provide workshops; communicate and report on events with the Director.

Occasionally travel to and perform work off-site at CTI shelters and other local sites.

Implement the agency's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program; including recruit, train and manage volunteers for program; provide outreach to clients review and submit all returns; manage space and coordinate with MIS during the tax season; report to appropriate agencies.

Manage the Financial Education Center's social media and participate in any FEC promotional events

Develop and maintain partnerships with businesses and organizations in the Greater Lowell community to promote the Family Education Center's programs and outreach to clients.

Maintain accurate records for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting requirements.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience working with low income and culturally diverse individuals required. Previous experience delivering financial education preferred. Understanding of personal finance management required.

Associate's Degree or classes toward degree preferred.

Attention to detail

Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Familiarity with strengths' based approach to case management

Understanding of basic personal finance management

Excellent customer service, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Ability to maintain accurate records and maintain confidentiality of information

Knowledge and experience working with low income, culturally diverse, and at-risk individuals

Strong ability to problem-solve

Demonstrated knowledge of community resources available to low income households

Public speaking and outreach

Crisis management skills

Ability to travel to work sites

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment

Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Khmer, English/Portuguese, English/Haitian Creole) preferred.
