Job Description
Our client has a fully remote opportunity for a Salesforce QA/Security Lead!

This is an 8 week project, with the possibility of extension

Position Summary:

The Salesforce Quality Assurance (QA) Lead supports the Agency working as a member of the Technology, Analytics and Digital Transformation ("Technology") team. The Salesforce QA Lead is responsible for assessing overall Salesforce system risk, creating a test harness to reduce the risk and executing the test plan (including doing functional and unit testing) to ensure all security vulnerabilities are removed from the Salesforce.com system in use by the Division of Occupational Licensure (DOL). The successful candidate will be solutions-oriented, technically diverse, innovative, a critical thinker, and an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities
The Salesforce QA Lead will report to the Associate Deputy Commissioner ("Client") of Technology, Analytics, and Digital Transformation, who oversees the Agency's technology modernization, digital transformation, and data analytics initiatives.
The Salesforce QA Lead will be responsible for the end-to-end development and support of a detailed Quality Assurance plan (QA Plan) optimized to reduce and eliminate any existing security or privacy vulnerabilities in the Salesforce-based licensing system. The incumbent will execute this QA Plan, track progress, and report back to the Client of Technology in a regular basis, until the project is completed.
  • Review existing Pentest and other test results to determine best QA path to eliminating known and potential future security vulnerabilities in the Salesforce-based system.
  • Incorporate Salesforce.com best practices into the proposed solutions.
  • Develop detailed test plan and communicate to the other members of the team, including the Client of Technology, existing Salesforce.com developers and administrators.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive system test plans, conditions, test scripts, and test cases.
  • Recommend and facilitate best fit solutions through accurate assessment of workflow, data, and other process-related problems.
  • Test bug fixes within Salesforce to ensure performance success as per requirements and deploy them to production.
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for future penetration tests.
  • Drive the creation and delivery of related QA documentation and training to document the test plan, test harness, configuration changes, and results.
  • Document and track all activities within Jira.
  • Works with others cooperatively, demonstrating a willingness to be a team player, and contributing to a work environment that focuses on shared departmental goals.
  • Support DOL's Mission, Ethics and Values in keeping the general operational standards of DOL.

Qualifications
You'll be a good fit for this role if you have experience:
  • Four (4) + years of QA experience in large enterprise settings delivering solutions on the Salesforce platform, with experience in a government or state agency a plus.
  • Mastery of software Quality Assurance / Testing methodologies, obtained via university degree or work experience.
  • Ability to pick things up very quickly and turn them into action plans.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience using SQA tools (Test Rail & JIRA) and database querying tools.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with:
    • Salesforce.com
    • Agile Scrum (QA lead, scrum master a plus)
    • JIRA and other CI/CD tools
    • Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and SharePoint Online
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively document, track and drive the team toward QA goals and objectives.
  • Strong understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning best practices, and deployment methodologies - working in cloud and on-premises environments
  • Highly organized and able to maintain detailed documentation on processes, standards, and projects.
  • Exceptional time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to effectively multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical staff, as well as senior management and across Commonwealth of Massachusetts organizations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate and provide technical support to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Working on projects with external vendors. Many of our product teams are composed of both external vendors and internal team members. We will rely on you to advocate for DOL with our vendors, directing them to ensure that the vendor's team is delivering high-quality software on time and according to agreed-upon functionality.
