Summary / Role Purpose

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Marketing Specialist - Paid Media to join our global marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing Ansys' global performance marketing initiatives, with a focus on our paid social advertising, display and trade advertising programs. This role will serve as a point of contact for our media agency and trade advertising vendor partners. The ideal candidate should have a background in display and social advertising with a focus on conversion optimization and revenue generation. This is an excellent opportunity to play a role in driving our paid media initiatives and achieving business growth and success in a global context.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work with the Senior Manager, Paid Media to develop and implement a global performance marketing strategy across North America, EMEA & APAC, focusing on paid trade advertising, paid social and display.
  • Responsible for the execution, optimization, and management of global paid media campaigns, including vendor research and RFPs, campaign setup, bid management, ad copy creation, performance tracking, and bidding platform optimization to maximize ROI and achieve campaign goals.
  • Leverage online video, display, paid social & programmatic platforms to develop and execute targeted campaigns, driving engagement and conversions in the B2B space.
  • Serve as the main media buyer and planner with trade advertising vendors by fostering strong relationships with third-party media vendors, handling proposals, estimates and placing cost-effective media buys.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and scalability in paid trade operations, driving efficiencies and streamlining workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including content, design, industry, product, etc.) to align paid media initiatives with overall marketing objectives and ensure consistency in messaging and branding.
  • Provide creative, campaign briefs, and feedback to our media agency for display, trade and paid social initiatives.
  • Develop reports and presentations to effectively communicate campaign performance, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in the paid media ecosystem to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Support Account-Based Marketing (ABM) programs for paid media, using vendors like Rollworks, DemandBase, and LinkedIn advertising.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in global paid social and display/programmatic optimization and management, preferably in a B2B marketing environment.
  • At least 1 year hands-on experience in a social advertising, display or DSP media platform (e.g. LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, The Trade Desk, StackAdapt).
  • Experience working with advertising vendors on media buys.
  • Demonstrated success in running global paid media campaigns and managing large budgets effectively.
  • Experience managing campaigns across multiple languages and locations (NAM, EMEA, APAC).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and strategies to stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in utilizing analytics and tracking tools (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) to measure and analyze campaign performance.
  • Experience executing email, webinar, sponsored content programs or sponsorships with third party vendors.
  • Sense of urgency.
  • Collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn new skills independently.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Agency background strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in global B2B technology marketing with understanding of current technology market trends.
  • Google Ads certification or other relevant certifications in display, paid social advertising.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Salesforce or comparable marketing automation tool.
  • Experience running Account-Based Marketing (ABM) programs for paid media, using vendors like Rollworks, DemandBase, or experience involving targeting and engaging specific audience segments and optimizing campaigns accordingly.
