The UNM Law Library seeks a Circulation, Systems & Facilities Assistant. This position reports to the Access Services and Facilities Coordinator and has an anticipated schedule of Monday-Thursday 11am to 8pm and Friday 9am to 6pm.
This position will provide information services to law library users including the law school community, the state's legal community, and the public. They will also help maintain library systems and the facility by performing defined routine technical and clerical tasks under direct supervision. A successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who works well within a team and enjoys organization, using their analytical skills, and working with library users. They will be expected to collaborate with coworkers, provide regular progress reports, and meet deadlines.

High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
* Proficiency in:
o Microsoft Word;
o Microsoft Excel;
o Microsoft Outlook;
o Completing work in PC and mobile environments;
o Use of a variety of Internet browsers.
* Experience using an integrated library system, specifically the circulation and course reserve modules of OCLC's World Management System (WMS).
* Experience providing circulation services to library patrons.
* Experience performing library stack maintenance.
* Ability to ensure the facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained.
* Ability to analyze and solve problems.
* Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
* Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
* Knowledge of library principles, practices, and terminology.
* Ability to develop professional knowledge and skills through appropriate training.
