Hours/Week: 25 hr./week
Shift timings :  9AM to 5PM
Note: Part time

Job Description:

The program manager is responsible for:
  • Managing art selection panels; including but not limited to identifying panelists, setting up and posting public meetings, providing direction, taking meeting notes, scheduling meetings, and managing all materials associated with the meetings.
  • Posting and managing public art calls; working with panelist the program manager will write all public art calls in accordance with the direction of the panels, post the calls, engage with artists responding to calls, organize all submitted materials, do eligibility checks, and communicate with artists and panels regarding status of said calls.
  • Managing interagency clients; the temporary public art manager is responsible for coordinating directly with the interagency representatives responsible for the project. These partners currently include DCAMM, RIC and the Fire Academy. This list could expand over the six month period.
  • Managing artists contracts and commissions on the projects assigned to this manager.
Additionally, the program manager will be required to:
  • Meet regularly with the Executive Director to provide updates on the work.
  • Interact with the RISCA Communications Director to post calls, agendas, and meeting minutes.
Requirements:
  • Must be familiar with government processes, public meeting requirements and have experience in public art management.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • And familiar with Café and Adobe PDF products.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
