ABOUT THE ROLE

The Manager, Talent Management & Organization Effectiveness is responsible for delivering integrated talent management programs and strategies that drive employee and organizational performance and enhance effectiveness. This role is responsible for supporting the implementation of SCJ enterprise-integrated global talent, inclusion, learning and development strategies- with emphasis of responsibilities in areas of Talent Management and Org Effectiveness. The scope of this role is North America region (Consumer Brands), Global/Corporate functions including CNV. This role has one direct report (Associate Manager).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide thought leadership and holistic talent consulting to senior HR leaders to enable the broader business and people priorities

  • Research, identify and incorporate external leading best practices, innovations and trends into design of talent management and organizational effectiveness solutions where appropriate. Recommend strategies to address gaps, using organization development tools to support employee engagement goals

  • Create plans for deployment of global programs in support of regional talent priorities and identified key talent / high potential development

  • Development and delivery support of global Talent Management and Organization Effectiveness tools to support the business needs within North America in partnership with external vendors, CoEs and HRBPs (may include assessments, development planning, leadership coaching, new leader assimilation, change management, culture and inclusion)

  • Partner with CoE and Communications teams to develop and execute communications on various topics (training programs, management skills / best practices, coaching programs, etc.)

  • Lead the execution of core processes across the Talent Management portfolio including performance management, employee engagement survey, communications and talent planning

  • Build HR capability and increase consistency in utilization and application of global talent processes

  • Regional point person (first point of contact) for talent process/ technology questions & issues

  • Participate in project teams for corporate wide projects / initiatives where appropriate.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with time spent in a CoE Organizational Development and/or Talent Management areas

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Industrial / Organizational Psychology or related field is required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES AND SKILLS

  • Master's or an advanced University degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or Industrial / Organizational Psychology or related field is preferred

  • Certified in a Training Program or Assessment Tool

  • Proficient with MS Office, HR Information Systems (i.e.: Workday), and Learning Management Systems (or related talent technology)

  • Demonstrated competence in core areas of talent management (including performance management, succession planning, employee engagement, etc.)

  • A track record of accomplishment as an external or internal consultant leading the implementation of talent management and other strategic HR initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and then build credibility with and gain commitment from key stakeholders

  • Experience working in a global organization where interaction across functions, regions and business units is key to success

  • Experience a Human Resources Business Partner

  • Proven ability to successfully project manage multiple programs, processes and projects simultaneously

  • Strong leadership, consulting and change management skills
