Your responsibilities
  • Maintains the Factory Master Sanitation Schedule and leads the Integrated Pest Management program to cover the manufacturing facility-including production, warehouses, utilities, and plant perimeter.
  • Provides leadership and guidance in directing efforts to improve, maintain, and validate sanitation practices and procedures. Facilitates training for plant personnel.
  • Manages the business relationship, budget, scope of work, and provide day to day guidance to contractors involved in sanitation and pest control provider related activities
  • Lead investigation of environmental monitoring and product results, including root cause analysis and determination of robust corrective actions
  • Ensures new equipment and facility designs comply with hygienic design standards
  • Collaborates with Project Engineering to determine and execute sanitation requirements during annual maintenance shutdowns.
  • Collaborates with the Technical Service team on CIP trouble shooting.
  • Collaborates with Quality Assurance in implementing and maintaining the facility food safety management system as guided by existing company policy and regulatory agency requirements.
The experience we're looking for
  • Minimum of five years of supervisory and sanitation experience in the food industry
  • Four year degree desired in Microbiology, Food Science or an equivalent field. In lieu of above formal educational experience, demonstration of the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform food sanitation program supervision will be considered.
  • Understand and have knowledge of chemicals, cleaning techniques, and manufacturing processes/equipment design to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization.
  • Experienced with GMPs, FDA, FSSC, HACCP/Food Safety management systems
  • PCQI certification preferred
  • Experience managing cleaning/sanitation service providers and pest control provider preferred
  • Microbiological knowledge is preferred.

US salary ranges

USD$82,080.00-$130,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
