Job Description

The Training Coordinator partners with Production, Logistics and Maintenance to promote and coordinate proactive and effective training programs to meet business, work stream, and individual goals in support of a highly reliable and sustainable workforce. Maintains the training program to ensure compliance is achieved for all training policies and requirements.
Supports learning projects at the local level. Supports local implementation of global Instructor Led courses as appropriate. Works with Course Owners / SMEs, to coordinate the development of local training.

Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with Leadership, coordinates the development and implementation of and maintains the training program to ensure compliance is achieved for all training policies and requirements.
  • Ensures local, global, and business curriculums are assigned in line with needs and requirements.
  • Work with Course Owners / Subject Matter Expert (SMEs) to coordinate the development of local training.
  • Partners with Resource Leaders, Site/Business Learning Leaders and new employees to develop and maintain employee specific training schedules and plans.
  • Ensures appropriate local subject matter experts review and approve Production, Logistics and Maintenance specific training and learning resources and that all local learning resources are up-to-date and available.
  • Coordinates Production, Logistics and Maintenance resources for delivery of training (i.e. qualified instructors, materials and/or facilities).
  • Involvement in on-boarding of new employees into Production, Logistics and Maintenance.
  • Supports local implementation of global Instructor Led courses as appropriate.
  • Assists with Learning Management System and coaches employees on how to access and utilize learning resources.
  • Helps ensure all required employee training records are up-to-date and maintained in the Learning Management System.
  • Tracks compliance and communicates overdue training items to employees, teams and leadership to deliver 100% training compliance.
  • Manages the training audit / assessment programs, conducts training surveys, and communicates results to employees and leadership.
  • Works with Management of Change (MOC) owners to ensure that training related requirements are achieved.
  • Supports learning projects at the local level.

  • Knowledge of appropriate standards, protocols, and systems.
  • Microsoft Office knowledge and skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Demonstrated skill in verbal and written communications, planning and organizing
  • Fluency in the English language is key for communication with global and business learning teams
  • Emotional intelligence - Being aware of your and others' emotions and using that awareness to guide your interactions in a way that achieves our business goals

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of manufacturing or related experience required
  • Line of business experience preferred
