Job Description | |||||||||||
Provides support to include equipment management, inventory control, property control, calibration control, warehousing, acquisition, quality control, receiving, shipping, assembly, packaging and transportation. Duties and Responsibilities * Plans, coordinates and conducts logistics projects. * Work requires professional knowledge of logistics principles, techniques and practices, and logistics programs and issues. * Prepares written plans, reports, schedules and milestones. * Develops project plans, outlines procedures and issues, and identifies long and short-term goals and objectives. * Participates with audit teams to conduct inspections of facilities and operations to ensure compliance with logistics regulations. * Gathers data, analyzes and assists in interpreting data and reports. * Coordinates issues pertaining to compliance and corrective actions. * Develops and conducts various logistics training. * Participates in meetings regarding logistics concerns related to the assigned projects. Primary Operator of the Unit Level Logistics System S4. * Updates and maintains inventory records. * Interfaces with the Property Book Officer and Primary Hand Receipt Holders to produce sub hand receipts and component listings. * Manages the Unit Level Logistics System S4 database and supporting documents. * Provides technical expertise regarding hand receipt management and property accountability. * Manages the accountability of durable items. * Signs for and delivers supplies and materials to end users. * Identifies excess and processes for turn-in. Inventory Management * May be responsible for inventory management of decentralized and decontrolled items, including supplies, and equipment. Items managed typically are of low unit or annual demand value, involve short procurement lead time (less than 9 months), are obtained from standard or other readily available sources of supply, and reflect relatively stable patterns of demand. Items usually are of a general, common-use type, non-repairable and seldom require intensive investigation of atypical variations in their supply and demand patterns. * The work includes requirements determination and forecasting, distribution or redistribution of material, procurement authorization, limited funds management, or other related work. Material Coordination * Performs material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops. * Duties are performed on the basis of practical experience in processing and expediting supply transactions related to the particular organizations serviced. * Confers with Test Officer or Government POC to determine materials overdue and to inform them of location, availability, and condition of materials. * Locates and moves materials to specified production areas. Records quantity and type of materials distributed and on hand. Coordinates calibration compliance. * Uses standard Army management information systems. |
